THE CHAIR PROJECT

THE CHAIR PROJECT is a special giving opportunity for you and your family to have a chair dedicated in the NEW New Canaan Library’s Jim & Dede Bartlett Auditorium.

To highlight the growing excitement about the potential for new programming in the auditorium, we’ve asked 9 New Canaan-based artists, authors, architects, musicians and more to be photographed sitting in the Series 7 chair, a midcentury modern icon designed by Arne Jacobsen that will be used in the new auditorium space.

For a $1,000 Capital Campaign donation you can have your family name or that of a loved one laser-cut into the back of one of these iconic chairs, customized by Design Within Reach/MillerKnoll exclusively for the Library project.

There are only 325 chairs available. THE CHAIR PROJECT officially starts today and all inscription requests must be completed before May 20th.

For larger giving and named opportunities, please contact Ellen Sullivan Crovatto at 203-594-5025 or ecrovatto@newcanaanlibrary.org.
